My on-chain portfolio of CryptoArt / NFTs, created and minted by me.
I create stuff. For as long as I can remember I’ve always had a pencil in hand. As an extremely shy kid art was always a safe place for me to hide.
When my father died I learned that he’d created stuff too. As a teenager his paintings were exhibited and toured the country. He won awards! This was a side of my father I never got to know and I will never know why he stopped creating. I can only assume he faced a choice between art and providing for his young whānau.
I respect that decision but I want my own young whānau to prioritise creativity, nurture it, hang on to it, carry it through to adulthood and find a way to thrive.
Today I still find refuge in my art but I no longer hide there. Much of my work is inspired by my whānau, I create CryptoArt and NFTs to leave a legacy for them. A way to leave a piece of me behind.
